WINONA, Minn. – Bruce Allen Edwards, 78, of Winona, a designer and mechanical engineer, died peacefully at a winter home in Texas from complications of pneumonia. He overcame polio as a child. In his early career he was a draftsman at Warner and Swasey and then went on to work for Dynamic Fluid Power. Also he was a supervisor at Knitcraft. His last job before retirement was at TRW as a design engineer. Separately he launched a business and patented a snack mix. He owned an Archery Pro shop, liquor store and several rental properties. He recognized nationally as a wood carver, his work featured in several woodcarving magazines. Bruce held state archery records as well as state and world fish records.
