HOUSTON, Minn. – Charlotte F. Braniff, 83, of Houston, a career educator, died at Northcrest nursing home in Waterloo, Iowa. She was raised on South Ridge near Houston on the family farm. She graduated from Houston High School and from Winona State University with a degree in elementary education. She taught at Blackhawk, Emerson and Lowell schools in Waterloo. After retirement she moved back to the family farm on South Ridge. She was active in 4-H, Girl Scouts and the Houston Historical Society. She organized Day Valley country school reunions.
