CHATFIELD, Minn. – Dale Edward Van Brunt, 69, skilled mechanic and maintenance man, died from a devastating but short illness. He grew up on a farm and attended Alma High School. He was a four-sport athlete. In the Vietnam War he served in the European theater because his brother already was on front lines in Vietnam. He was a reservist through 1985.
