WINONA, Minn. – David Clarence Haase, 83, of Minnesota City, a 1955 graduate of Winona High School, died at his home. He spent most of his life in Fargo, North Dakota, where he managed various businesses. Growing up in Winona he was fond of visits to Borst Ice Cream shop with his sister and brother. After high school he served in the U.S. Navy on the destroyer Bache as a communication specialist. In Fargo, a sideline was volunteering to build houses with Laborers for Christ. Back in Winona he set up scholarships at St. Martin’s and Hope Lutheran schools.
