WINONA, Minn. – Donald J. Lovas, age 88, of Winona, a Catholic priest in several southeast Minnesota parishes, died in nursing care at the St. Anne home. He was a 1955 graduate of Cotter High School and earned a philosophy degee at Saint Mary’s College. He was ordained in 1963. Although he retired in 2010 he continued in various parishe around the Diocese with weekend Masses. For recreation, friends said, he enjoyed fishing and the subsequent fish fries.
