WINONA, Minn. — Lowell T. Salo, 75, of Winona, died peacefully after 21 months with a cancer diagnosis. He held a degree from Winona State University and taught elementary school in Wanamingo and West Concord. Later he was an elementary principal in Goodhue and in West Salem, Wisconsin. He was in the National Guard from 1970 to 1976.
