WABASHA, Minn. — Mary Patricia Wallerich, 82, of Wabasha, died at St. Marys hospital in Rochester. She grew up in Cooks Valley near Kellogg and graduated from St. Felix School in Wabasha in1958. She then attended St. Francis School of Nursing in La Crosse. She worked at St. Catherine Hospital in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Back in Wabasha she and her husband acquired the Hugh Welp farm on Pepin Hill. She also was a foster care mother for 13 years . She was active in the Pepin Hill Women’s Club and taught religion classes and reading.
