WINONA, Minn. – Mary Anne Zimmerman, age 90, of Winona, whose religious column “Matter of Faith” was a fixture in the Winona Post, died at St. Anne nursing home. She wrote four books. Still available is a 2011 title, “The Family Busines: Road Mao to Peace of Mind.” She was known for her pies, earning her the name “The Pie Lady.” She once made made 1,000 pies, with $10,000 in proceeds for tsunami victims in Sri Lanka and also victims of Hurricane Katrina.
