RUSHFORD, Minn. – Melvin W. Brand, 93, of Rushford, a dairy farmer who prided himself for Grade A milk, died at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home. He was a graduate of Rushford High School. He was a trustee and elder at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was in the board of Sauer nursing home in Winona, town clerk of Money Creek, and member of Rushford Village Board. In later years he farmed south of Hart. He was a member of the Land O Lakes district board and president of Farmers Co-op Elevator. As an officer of the Rushford Lions Club he served on the Camp Winnebago board.
