ALTURA, Minn. – Ruth Arnett, 92, of Altura, who taught at rural schools in the late 1940s and later worked at the Altura turkey plant, died at home. She was a 1949 graduate of Houston High School and attended Westmar College in Iowa. Her jobs included babysitting, working in a grocery store, and managing Altura Place Apartments. She was proud of ribbons won at the Winona County Fair for embroidery.
