WINONA, Minn. — Shirley A. Eiken, 79, of Winona, long-time chair of Winona State’s curriculum committee and a powerhouse in campus politics, died at her Garvin Heights home overlooking the city. She was a graduate of Rushford High School and held degrees from Luther College, Winona State and Northern Colorado. She was the youngest doctoral recipient in Colorado history. Beginning in 1966 she taught office management skills at Winona State.
