NORWALK, Calif. – An importer of canned corned beef, MW Polar, which failed to run 300,000 pounds through federal meat inspectors, recalled the product. The product, branded as Ox & Palm, were imported between June 2020 and January 2021 and shipped to retailers nationwide. The recalled cans bear the words “Australia Inspected” and the number “39.” The recall was triggered by a complaint to the U.S. Agriculture Department. The agency identified the tipster only as “an industry representative.” No adverse reactions have been confirmed. MWPolar is a unit of Milky Way International Trading, which imports a wide range of products from 22 countries.
