CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Rescuers punched four giant holes in a 7,000-bushel metal grain bin to release corn hat had trapped a man inside. Darrell Benish was rescued. Fire Captain Brian Hall said Benish was six feet inside the bin when the corn let loose and buried him to the shoulders. He was stuck immobilized about two hours. “To have a situation like this where we can make a rescue and the person survives, very rare,” said Hall.
