MADISON, Wis. – Governor Tony Evers a activated the Wisconsin National Guard to support Capitol Police with safety at the state Capitol building ahead of anticipated anti-government demonstrations. The state Guard commander, Major General Paul Knapp, declined to say how many Guard soldiers would be activated. Their mission, Knapp said, would be “support of the Capitol Police to protect operational security,”
