NORTHFIELD, Minn. — A Faribault man was charged with murder for the road rage death of another Faribault man who was attacked 1-1/2 weeks earlier. Leslie Shawn Sanders, 52, originally was charged with first-degree assault and released on $100,000 bond. The charge was elevated to murder when the victim, 79-year-old Larry Myers, succumbed to the injuries. The county attorney, John Fossum, said: “The significant injury and now death caused by this assault indicates Mr. Sanders is clearly a risk to public safety.”
