ROCHESTER, Minn. – A night clerk at the 44-room Baymont Hotel on South Broadway told police that he was robbed by a man who came in and asked for a room. Told no rooms were available, the man tied the clerk’s hands, took his phone, and left, the clerk said. When he managed to free himself, the clerk called police. That was about 12:10 a.m. The clerk, age 61, was not hurt.
