WINONA, Minn. –The Winona Chamber of Commerce has another $1 million in CoVid relief funds from the state for local businesses. Individual grants can be as much as $20,000, said Christie Ransom, the Chamber president. In the first round of awards last January, most grants were $10,000. The award criteria again are broad, Ransom said. They include payroll, supplies, utilities, rent and mortgages. Awards will be first-come first-serve, she said. The funds actually were awarded to the county, which designated the Chamber as its distribution agent.
