WINONA, Minn. – Geoscientist Megan Ballard, an expert in seagrass, will speak at Winona State University on Monday about threatened seagrasses. Her research has found seagrass meadows among the most endangered habitats on Earth, which is significant because they are “carbon sinks” that filter human-made contaminants.
