Truth be told. Finally. The secretly choreographed and rehearsed show rode on skates made by Riedell Shoe Company.

Riedell heritage harkens to Red Wing workboots
RED WING, Minn. — The people who make Riedell skates in Red Wing couldn’t keep their secret a moment longer. As soon as the half-time Usher spectacle at the Super Bowl was over, somebody in Red Wing went online: “We did that!” Usher’s skates, and the cast’s matching skates, came from Riedell Shoe Company of Red Wing. The company has been making roller skates — ice skates too, — since 1945. Riedell has extensive product lines, mostly $100 to $350. To be sure Riedell also engages in custom projects. Among them is the Moxi fashion-forward colorful brand of roller skates. Riedell also has the roller derby and park-focused brand Antik. Related products: Gumball toe stops, Moto bearings, and CIB wheels.
