ROCHESTER, Minn. – Senator Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., said the $2 trillion infrastructure plan proposed Wednesday by President Biden will bring saturation broadband access to the nation. In a KIMT television interview Klobuchar noted that 144,000 Minnesota families lack high-speed access. Sixteen percent don’t have any internet, she said. The problem showed acutely during the pandemic when schools shifted to online instruction, leaving many children, especially in rural areas, up a creek. Klobuchar said the massive infrastructure plan also will create millions of jobs.
