MINNEAPOLIS – In an online memory site, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar eulogized her father, Minnesota writer Jim Klobuchar, who died Thursday, as “a champion of those on the outside.” He used his words to stand up for people. the senator said. Klobuchar talked often about her father’s public struggles with alcoholism and how he helped others by sharing his story. Klobuchar told much of her father’s story in her autobiography “The Senator Next Door.” In hir onle eulogy, she wrote: “Even to the end, as he lived the final chapter of his life with Alzheimer’s, he was still singing songs and telling incredible stories.”
