CALEDONIA, Minn. – The sheriff of Houston County, Mark Inglett, confirmed that the state Health Department notified his office ahead of time that a COVID-19 field team would be conducting door-to-door interviews in Eitzen. The word, it seems, never reached the powers-who-be in the hamlet of Eitzen, where a team reported it was confronted in early September with racist epithets. Inglett said, also, that the field team never reported the incident to the sheriff’s office.
