ST. PAUL, Minn. – A small crowd of Trump supporters, about 100 in all, some of them armed, gathered at the state Capitol in another protest against the 2020 election. State Patrol officers guarded the Capitol steps. Speakers told the protesters that they were patriots, even as the nation remained in outrage and grieving at the siege of the U.S. Capitol and mayhem three days earlier. At the St. Paul rally, several people held American flags although, unlike the Washington riot, there were no Confederacy flags.
