ST. PAUL, Minn. – Profs at Winona State University and other state colleges will not see pay hikes next academic year. The Inter Faculty Organization negotiations team and board of directors unanimously approved a resolution to forgo pursuing across-the-board pay increases. Brent Jeffers, union president, said the state college system is in trouble, noting repeated faculty cuts over the past three years. “We must be proactive to save as many of the positions on our campuses as possible.”
