ST. PAUL, Minn. –The Minnesota House voted 112-31 for a $7.3 billion transportation funding bill for roads, bridges and public transit over the next two years. The bill next goes to the Senate. Included was funding for:
> Two new rapid transit bus lines for the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
> Continuing the Northstar commuter rail line.
> Matching $10 million in federal matching funds toward a second daily St. Paul-Chicago passenger train.
> Supplying State Patrol troopers with body cameras.
> Reopening driver’s exam sites that were closed due to Covid.
