NEW AMSTERDAM Wis. – Afternoon temperatures broke above freezing but not enough to melt snow and ice left by Friday’s overnight storm. Soon the last traces of winter’s first punch will be gone. A high in the low 60s was forecast for Wednesday. Meanwhile, rivers are running low with lots of gravel beds exposed.
