ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Supreme Court dismissed a petition against Senator Gene Dornink that challenges his a residency claim. Chief Justice Lorie Gildea said the petition came too late. A last-minute change of ballots after they have been printed and early voting had begun would be impractical, Gildea said. The justice noted that the challenge was based n observations weeks earlier but filed only 10 days before the election.
