NORWALK, Wis. – A police SWAT team muscled into a rural shed after a two-hour stand-off with a man living a trailer inside the shed. Kenneth M. Sizemore, 39, surrendered as agents inside the shed were about to unleash chemical agents. Sizemore was medically cleared at the scene and taken to jail. During the confrontation the tactical team attempted to engage Sizemore in communication, but he didn’t respond or come out. Among possible charges, police said: Recklessly endangering safety, false imprisonment, child abuse, battery. It was a domestic issue that had led police to the rural Norwalk address s14 miles southeast of Sparta about 6:15 a.m. The tactical team included agents from the Monroe County and Vernon County sheriff’s offices, a multijurisdiction SWAT team, Sparta and Tomah police, and the State Patrol.
