WINONA, Minn. – Teachers in Winona schools have ratified a new contract with a 1.9% raise this school year and 2.3% next. Although agreed to by teacher and school district negotiators, and also by a vote of teachers, final approval from the School Board is still needed. The raises will cost $1.3 million. The settlement is pretty much in line with state mediation raises in the 2% to 3 % range for other public employee unions.
