STEWARTVIILE, Minn. – Investigators began looking for links between two thefts of copper wire from a construction site west of Stewartville. The first theft was discovered early Friday. A foreman arriving for work said someone had taken wire worth $3,000 and driven off with the heavy load. Apparently, the foreman said the thief – or theievs — used a skid-steer loader parked at the site. On Monday morning a crew reported a gate broken open over the weekend and $13,000 more copper wire missing. The site in the 2000 block of County Rroad 6 Southwest.
