MADISON, Wis. – A Madison man was sentenced to three years of probation for helping tear down two statues outside the state Capitol during 2020 protests over racial injustice. Jacob Capps, 28, also was ordered to pay $5,000 restitution to restore the statues. Cases against four other people remain open.
