LUBLIN, Wis. – A 2-year-old child running along the Canadian National railroad tracks was struck and killed by a freight train. Police did not release the child’s name immediately. The child was alone, police said. The train conductor said he attempted to stop the train but too late. The train was on the CN’s Stevens Point to Superior route. The accident was about 5:15 p.m.
