POSTVILLE, Iowa — An Iowa State Patrol trooper was seriously injured when his vehicle crashed en route to an accident north of Postville. Trooper Ted Benda was airlifted 65 miles to Gunderson Hospital in La Crosse. He was reported in critical condition. The accident was about 11:30 p.m., Thursday, on Highway 51 six miles north of Postville.
