I-94 gun-running
According to the criminal complaint:
About 10:10 p.m., Sunday, a State Patrol trooper spotted a gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck heading east at100 mph. Five miles later the truck driver pulled over. The tuck, a rental, had Texas plates. The trooper approached the vehicle. The driver, Muzamil Aden Addow, 29, provided an Ontario, Canada, driver license. It had a false name. The front seat passenger, Dayne Adrian Sitladeen, 29 ,provided a Florida identification card. It too was fake. The trooper detected marijuana. The men said he was wrong. The trooper asked to search the truck. Addow agreed but wouldn’t let the trooper check his person and said the duffle bags in the back were off limits. The trooper told the two to stand 20 yards in front of the Silverado. The trooper opened one of the bags and saw 10 to 15 guns. Immediately the trooper called for backup. The trooper ordered the men to put their hands on their heads. Addow initially ignored him and turned away. He tried to make a call on his cell phone, and then appeared to make a brief call on his Apple watch, all while the trooper was ordering him to stop and put his hands in the air. Other troopers arrived. The two men were arrested and taken to the Otter Tail County Jail in Fergus Falls. The pickup was searched. Officers found 67 guns and numerous pistol magazines, one of them partially loaded with live rounds.
