WINONA, Minn. – A Utica driver was hurt when his pickup was struck from behind on U.S. Highway 61 just south of Winona. Thomas James Erdmann, 60, was taken to the Winona hospital with injuries that appeared easily treated. The accident was about 1:55 p.m. at Bundy Boulevard. Police said Erdmann had stopped in the left lane when another pickup, driven by Ty Carson Lietzau, 19, of Sparta, Minnesota, struck his truck. Lietzau was unhurt. Both were southbound toward LaCrosse. Erdmann was in a 1994 Dodge Dakota, Lietzau in a 1008 GMC Sierra.The pavement: Dry.
