OWATONNA, Minn. – Police in Waseca arrested a Waseca woman at the request of Owatonna police who had sought her in a nearly fatal early-morning stabbing. Tierrah Wells, 33, was arrested in a traffic stop a little before noon. She was taken to the Steele County jail in Waseca for Owatonna police to pick up for a 15-mile ride back to Owatonna. Wells was the estranged companion of the stabbing victim, Charles Ellis, 42, and the mother of their two children. Ellis was stabbed multiple times in the chest with a kitchen knife. Police said the two sons, ages 5 and 4, were in the apartment when the stabbing occurred. One of the boys said his mother had poked his father twice with a knife, a source said.
