WINONA, Minn. – The arrests of two Rochester men after gunfire in a residential neighborhood early Saturday began, as best as police can figure out, with a street altercation. At least two persons fled the flight and went into hiding in an apartment in the 100 block of West Sanborn Street, just off the Huff Street thoroughfare. The Rochester men, Gilbert LaRue Jordan, 20, and Davante Dashan Williams, 19, fired shots and forced their way into the apartment, police said. Shortly thereafter the two men were stopped fleeing in a Jeep. Police found a handgun in their vehicle. Later police found two shell casings at the apartment. No one was injured by the gunfire. Jordan and Williams were booked for burglary and terroristic threats.
