WASHINGTON – The city of Winona lost 4.6% of its population in the decade of the 2010s, according to data released by the U.S Census Bureau. The bookends of the decade were 27,592 in 2010 and 26,334 in 2020. There was a peak in 2012 of 27,592. The only Winona County’s municipality to grow in the 2010s was suburban Goodview, up one-half of a percent.
