WINONA, Minn. – Closely watched enrollment data for Winona schools continued slipping this fall. An update for November and December showed enrollment falling by 28 students, from from 2,487 to 2,459. The breakdown:
> Elementary schools: Steady at 795 students.
> Middle school: 760 off to 751.
> High school: 932 off to 913.
> Learning Center: 54 up to 60.
> Home schooling: 103 up to 110.
The school district’s funding from the state is enrollment-dependent.
