TOKYO – Wisconsin native Kenny Bednarek, 22, of Rice Lake, won the 200-meter sprint, his first heat, at the Tokyo Olympics. He ran it in 20.01. American teammate Noah Lyles had the third fastest time at 20.18. Bedbarek was the NCAA Junior College champion for the 200-meter and 400-meter events when running for Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa.
