Wolf season shortened in much of Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. – The state wildlife agency will end the state’s wolf hunting season four days early in half of the state’s wildlife management areas. The Natural Resources Department said hunters and trappers filled half of the statewide quota in a little more than 24 hours. Sixty wolves were taken. The quota was 119. The agency said that hunting will continue through Sunday in management areas in north-central Wisconsin.
