MADISON, Wis. – The state game agency will issue 2,000 permits to hunt wolves, a number calculated to result in 200 kills. The season will run seven days, February 22 to 28. The season complies with a judge’s order to allow hunting before the end of the month. The game agency estimates the Wisconsin wolf population a 1,200.
