SPARTA, Wis. – Firefighters responded to a machine shed fire on County Highway A east Sparta. No one was injured, Fire Chief Mike Arnold said. The building was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Arnold said the fire was a special challenge because wires were down and the ground frozen. Arnold blamed the fire on a wood stove.
