ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Texas man was arrested after a car was shot up in what appeared to be a visitation encounter involving a minor child. Exavier Porter, 32, of Fort Worth, was booked as a drive-by shooter. As police understand what happened, Porter had arrived for a pre-arranged rendezvous site in the 2400 block of 18-1/2 Avenue Northwest. In the car with Porter were a 27-year-old woman and her child. The other man, who was from Brooklyn Center and who was the child’s father, drove up. At that point Porter jumped out of his car and opened fire at the Brooklyn Center man’s car. Porter then got back in his car with the woman and child and drove off. Police later found Porter and the mother at a nearby apartment. Porter didn’t resist arrest, police said. At the scene police found 10 spent shell casings. Police did not find the gun.
