WHITEHALL, Wis. — A judge accepted a plea agreement to settle the illegal hunting case against Brush Ranch Outfitters. The deal, approved by Judge Rian W. Radtke, includes a $17,000 fine against the ranch and $2,500 each against ranch owner Travis Brush and employee Randall Hoff. Also, both men will lose hunting and trapping privileges for three years. As part of the deal, Brush and Hoff pleaded no contest to unauthorized taking of live wild animals from the wild. lying to investigators, trapping with illegal methods, failing to register deer, and, possessing game during the closed season. Judge Radtke ordered several trophy bucks be confiscated. Although not part of the plea deal, the ranch has donated $10,000 donation to the Associated Conservation Clubs of Trempealeau County.
