ALMA, Wis. – Bond was set at $500,000 for a Nelson man charged with shooting and killing his wife at home Sunday evening. Meanwhile, Jonathan Medeiros was held at the Buffalo County jail. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for February 5, said District Attorney Thomas Bilski.

Murders in Nelson
Already in the Buffalo County court is the murder case against Randall Merrick. He is accused of killing a womanfriend at their trailer house in 2016 and hiding the body in a north Minneapolis suburb. He was arrested in 2020.
