ST. PAUL, Minn.— Governor Tim Walz indicated that he may announce additional restrictions to limit indoor activities involving young adults ages 18 to 35 to slow the out-of-control spread of coronavirus. The restrictions would not be all-encompassing, as was his lockdown last spring. What has happened since spring? Walz said public health experts now are “better at understanding who’s getting this, where they’re getting it, and when they’re getting it.” Another factor, he said, is a new sense of what people will and will not do.
With whom?
The governor spoke at the Minnesota Department of Health’s regular briefing. Also there was Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, whom President-elect Joe Biden’ recently appointed to his Transition COVID-19 Advisory Board.
