MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Twelve Rochester police officers are in Milwaukee to augment security at the Republican National convention. Their duties are primarily traffic control. Also from Minnesota are officers from Bloomington, Hennepin County and Ramsey County. Their expenses are being reimbursed by the State of Wisconsin. The mutual aid arrangements are involve officers from 24 states. Forty-four Wisconsin communities are participating although none from western Wisconsin. Fiftern officers were sent from Fargo, North Dakota.
