WINONA, Minn. – A Winona man, Travis Lee Schultz, 36, attacked a paramedic in the back of an ambulance while being transported to the hospital, police said. Schultz had been found unconscious and unresponsive on the boulevard in the 650 block of Main Street downtown about 12 a.m., police said. An ambulance was called. The crew managed to wake Schultz. Because police knew that Schultz had a history of not being cooperative, an officer rode in the ambulance. En route, police said, Schultz became hostile and assaulted a paramedic. Police got Schultz in handcuffs before arriving at the hospital, where he was arrested and cited for disorderly conduct. The paramedic appeared uninjured
