WOODBURY, Minn. – The stepfather of a teenager shot and killed at a weekend graduation party was arrested in connection with the shooting.  Police said, however, that they didn’t believe the stepfather fired the fatal shot. Arrested was Keith Dawson, 35. He was charged with drive-by shooting, illegal possession of a firearm, and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. Witnesses reported hearing about 30 rounds from two vehicles driving through the neighborhood. As police reconstructed what happened, Dawson was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe and fired shots into a dark SUV. The SUV occupants returned gunfire. One bullet hit 14-year-old Demaris Ekdahl in a separate car. Dawson said the people in the other vehicle were “messing with his kids.” He said he threw gun out of his vehicle. Officers later recovered the weapon.
